the enemy

The book the enemy is takes place in London. The enemy is about a group of kids who need to be protected to avoid the zombies. A kid who is lost named small Sam informs the leader of the group Arran that there is only one really safe place left and that's the buckingham palace. So small Sam, Arran and his crew comes along with him. It's a long journey.  I think the authors theme is survival and death.

It was one virus that changed a human to a zombie. And then after that the virus spreaded around, and  now Small Sam,Arran and his crew are the only humans remaining. It was tough for them to find food, and shelter. It was tough for them to survive. They would have to kill animals on the street and eat them. Some days they wouldn't eat. It was torchre for them. They also had to protect themselves from the zombies which is even worse.

During the book all the characters family members died. So they were left with each other. On their way to the palace you also had some deaths. Arran died buy getting bit by a zombie which he believed was his mother who had the virus then later got by with an arrow. Maxie now has to lead them their.

The rest of the group except Arran who died made it to the palace. Even if these kids went through a lot now they are safe have food water, and shelter. I really enjoyed reading this book. I think I should read the other books of the series.

  1. Nice job recapping the story, Nat. Let's conference about how you can write more about those two themes you noticed. What is the author trying to say about survival? Death?
