The book “The Chosen” by Chaim Potok is about A religious jew named Reuven. He played a baseball game against this team and when Reuven throws a pitch to a boy named Danny and Danny accidentally hit Reuven with the ball while swinging and the ball hit his eye. Reuven has to go to the hospital and during his stay Danny comes and visits him, and they find out that they share a lot in common and then they become friends. Teenagers can relate to “The Chosen” because it’s a book about friendship.

To begin with, readers can learn a lot about forgiving a friend from the story. Sometimes when you get into an argument with another person and you make up you might find out that you could have a lot of similarities and you might even become friends. In story two friends Reuven and Danny, got into a fight. They later talked and made up at the hospital. This shows forgiveness because they made up and they found out that they had more similarities than they realized.

In conclusion I think that teenagers can relate to the book " the Chosen". I think this because the book is about friendship and friendship is part of teenage life. In other words you hang out with friends you do things you talk about things. Also friends will be there for you when you are going through tough times.
